Is it nice..?

Greenwood Space Travel Supply Co.

Just spotted The Greenwood Space Travel Supply Co. Poster on FPO. I’m assuming that this new Seattle setup is the latest installment of the Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co. series. I wonder if/how many other similar stores they have around.

They’re got a scarce few items with some lovely typography and graphics – and infographics – but their other items in store don’t look anywhere as exciting as the Brooklyn Superhero supplies, even though their concept is bang-on. Kind of disappointing following the BSSC’s huge web-cult status.

Ecohols by Jørn

Ecohols by Danish designer, Jørn. An interesting packaging project on what big alcoholic brands would look like if they were challenged with generic packaging cartons instead of their prominent bottles.

From the Breuckelin Distilling Company Inc. – an artisan micro-distillery from Brooklyn. One day I must add this to my growing collection of gin bottles!

Manic is just bagging awards all over the place this past month. Today, we’ve been featured on Dieline, another first for me. This is turning out to be a fantastic year!

The Glenrothes Distillery

Found this little gem on one of Hock’s shelves. I guess this is the plus side of knowing a hoarder. The label is from a 1984 bottle of Scotch whiskey from The Glenrothes Distillery. Their vintage labels go all the way back to 1975 (though the 1984 bottles aren’t on sale anymore), and each bottle is labeled and signed by hand – a very nice touch.

If I were to ever start drinking whiskey, it would be for something special like this!

The original labels. Check out The Glenrothes Distillery website for more info.
