Just lovely. The Museum of Obsolete Objects is a place for fallen appliances, tools and gadgets from a simpler time. A lovely place to go to relive your childhood. I’m also incredibly impressed by how they built this entire site in Youtube. I remember working with Youtube a year ago and it was such a pain. Youtube must be pushing for brand channels these days if it’s progressed this far this quickly.
The site is built in Flash by German digital agency, Jung von Matt/Next.
Today we won Site of The Day on Awwwards! I am so terribly pleased with the amount of mileage that the Manic site has been getting. So pleased that I’m going to be self-indulgent and list them all down. What an awesome day.
So it seems City Dog‘s been gaining some serious mileage on the net and around the world. We’ve been featured on Site Inspire a couplea months ago and now we’ve bagged a double-page spread in Web Designer Magazine! And even more exciting, we’re going to be published in one of Smashing Magazine’s books.
And like Seb said, it does feel like winning the Academy Awards.

Siiiiick motion graphics for British duo Matta‘s Release The Freq from the album Prototype. Imagine the motion infographic style of Stranger Than Fiction but mashed with a bbc documentary on deer, some electronic-dubstep and speed. The result is surprisingly brilliant.
Direction, Design, Cinematography, Editing, 3D & Animation by Kim Holm.
Pretty epic video for Woodkid’s Iron. Video directed by Yoann Lemoine, cinematography by Mathieu Plainfosse. Really loving the styling, lighting and 3D work. I’d imagine this to be the Lord of The Rings of music videos. Can’t say I feel the same about the track though :\

Just got myself an account with Designspiration, with
much a little effort. Find me at designspiration.net/adechong.
On a more important note, I’ve got ONE invite to give away, so please drop me your e-mail address and a link your website/blog/twitter/flickr/behance/all of the above etc, if you’re interested. Bias-ness totally applies here. I’m ashamed to say that friends/coworkers/fuck-buddies get first dibs here, unless you can prove that you are as big a social media + interwebz addict as me and that you deserve this invite.
Deadline is end of the week (Sunday, 6th March 2011).
“It used to be, you didn’t become an artist just to become rich, you became an artist because you had an idea or emotion to share, and that’s where we’re heading again.” – Seth Godin
Press Pause Play is looking really promising. Can’t wait for the DVD to come out.
