Kl ’10 Day 1-3
Despite what I thought, KL hasn’t been as painful as I expected. Jon & I spent the first 3 days shopping non-stop, and covering most of Bukit Bintang & Bangsar. Anyways, here are some pics from our little shopping expedition to Bangsar. It was pretty weird cause most of the shops looked pretty arty and well-decorated, but the clothes inside just weren’t very nice/worth their price.
Also had damn cheapy foot therapy, 30 minutes of the fish spa and a 30-minute foot massage for only SGD$10! AND EATING omg. Every meal has just been a fucking huge affair. Yesterday we had the most famous black hokkien mee + popiah + rojak + fried yong tau fu and drinks, and it only cost SGD$28 for 6 people.
One of the most awesome things u cld ever put into your mouth. By the time I hit the bottom of the plate, oil was dripping off the strands of noodle. omgsofuckinggood!!
Also went to Zouk KL for the first time ever last night and I must say, I was impressed! Cover charge was pretty pricey (for KL), about RM50 (SGD20) per person and it only came with one drink. BUT, it included entry to all 5 clubs under Zouk: the main room (trance), phuture (hip hop), velvet underground (retro – which seemed more gay than retro), barsonic (indie/electro) and their version of the wine bar. And happy hour drinks were SO CHEAP! SDG$30 for 2 jugs!!
We ended up hopping between clubs quite a bit though we eventually settled at Zouk cause the guest DJ, Markus Schulz was just so fucking good. His set started off pretty trancey but evolved to heavy techno. LOVED IT! Jon and I just downed our drinks and raved.
I also have to say that I actually quite liked the KL crowd, they’re better dressed and they don’t smell like a menstruating vagina. I mean, it started off as a halal sausage-fest but a lot of the middle-eastern boys were very kewtt. Too bad I like bakwa.
